The field account preserves what witnesses understood before the encounter became doctrine. It is observation, not certainty.
Field account
The road looked improved: new markers, safe shoulders, useful supplies, a bright ribbon where the route divided. Every kindness led into the burned cut. Ash-colored figures then rose from the drainage ditch and dismantled the caravan by straps, maps, traces, and buckles. When their guide stones were kicked aside, impossible speed became ordinary desperation.
Observed behavior
Roadash alters signs, loosens harnesses, plants helpful-looking supplies, and studies who repairs each problem. The first rush targets movement and communication rather than blood. Their speed depends on rehearsed ash routes and moving obstacles; a disciplined halt deprives the trap of momentum.
Read the environment
