Rail-yard identification
Look at the jaw. The Scrapper feeds rivets into it, flattens them, then fires with a snap of its neck. The extra arm joints let it reach backward around cover. Its coat rattles with bell metal, with labels fastened over leather. It understands what a tool is worth and how to measure a cut. Waste offends it almost as much as theft.
Theft and signals
It takes one useful thing and gets low behind industrial cover. Clothing pinned by a rivet makes the theft easier. Taps along the rails tell the other Scrappers what to do; interrupt them and the coordinated ambush breaks into individuals competing for whatever they can carry.

Jam the feed
Catch soft lead or wet leather in the punch mouth. Bent wire can also block it. Clearing the mechanism by hand hurts and takes time.

Clear the scrap
Get onto empty ground. Loose hardware supplies both ammunition and cover, and gives a Scrapper something to bargain over.
