Field account
The doe stepped from the fog without bending a fern, amber light moving beneath blue-gray fur. Bone charms hung below her throat, each breathing a thread of memory-smoke. She steadied a wounded traveler and led the group between the laurel walls, but every hidden thing in the hollow turned toward the same glow. Mercy is real in Blue Smoke Country. It is rarely private.
Observed behavior
The Haintlantern Doe approaches the wounded, the lost, and those sincerely protecting others. She offers warmth and a clearer path, then expects to be followed without restraint. Her lantern light strengthens nearby spirits indiscriminately, so predators often trail just beyond its edge.
Read the environment
The warning arrives before the creature.
