Courthouse rain record
Rain fell beneath the awnings before it reached the street. On the courthouse gutter, a woman in a coat of notices and funeral ribbon wrote a name in wet soot.
The drains answered. Water climbed around people's ankles. Shadows stood in the wrong puddles. The courthouse doors no longer knew their owners.
Drainage workings
Look for small errors in the block before the rain joins them up. An arrow reversed in chalk. Hair tied into a grate. A name left for water to finish. The Hexer uses connected drainage to carry the curse. Changing one path or correcting the mark that governs it can undo several workings together.

Separate the water
Break the connected plumbing and wet surfaces. That isolates the Hexer from curses beyond the closest drain.

Correct the mark
The civic and folk symbols must be exact. If you know the symbol, an informed alteration can send the curse back along its intended route.
