Evacuation-map route
Lio found an evacuation map painted under the flood. It was unlit. Everything else was answering the Conductor.
Blue veins had lit the streets first. Signs followed, then traffic lamps and dead windows. At the ruined substation, a figure rose with cable-loop ribs and utility-pole arms. A transmission tower ran up its back, scraping sparks from the clouds. Its gestures laid electrical lanes through water and rebar. Maintenance drones climbed from transformer boxes with blank ceramic masks, singing in relay clicks.
We followed the map's routes for powerlessness. When the Conductor noticed the silence, every arm lowered.
The skyline answered.
The city's score
It tests circuits separately, then draws them into repeating measures that constrain movement. A repeated attack gets written into the next pattern as percussion. Flooded downtown streets give it overlapping paths through the old infrastructure.
Unscheduled silence receives disproportionate attention. Dead zones and hand-painted routes aren't part of the score. Mechanical tools outside the grid trouble it for the same reason.

Dead traffic lights cycle in patterns that repeat footsteps.

Unmapped Dead Route
Use paths made after the old grid failed. They aren't in its score and cannot carry the broad electrical patterns.

Broken Rhythm
Change the timing of your actions. Repeating resistance lets it predict you and incorporate the attack into its performance.

Storm interval
In a major storm it turns its performance toward the clouds and briefly neglects ground targets. The interval precedes a citywide closing gesture.
